Opening Doors, Building Futures
Through our ambitious $6 million, 6-year Opening Doors, Building Futures Campaign, we are expanding our campus to increase our capacity from 4 to 26 young adults—allowing us to provide a path of hope for approximately 26% of North Carolina's young adults who would otherwise age out of foster care into homelessness each year.
The Growing Need
Our current campus allows us to assist four young adults at a time. The need for safe, supportive housing for young women and men aging out of foster care continues to grow.
Each month, we receive nearly twice as many referrals as we have room to serve.

Our Bold Vision: Expanding Our Campus
The Open Door House is launching a multi-phase campus expansion that will dramatically increase the number of young adults we can serve from 4 (currently) to 26 by 2032.
Giving Hope Room to Grow
Through our ambitious $6 million, 6-year Opening Doors, Building Futures Campaign, we are expanding our campus to increase our capacity from 4 to 26 young adults—allowing us to provide a path of hope for approximately 26% of North Carolina's young adults who would otherwise age out of foster care into homelessness each year.

Together, we're creating a community where hope grows, independence is cultivated, and futures are transformed for generations to come.

I owe all my thanks to the people who have supported me thus far, including those at The Open Door House. I was in a dark place before living at TODH, and can proudly say that I have found my hope again. I loved learning to cook, interface with my peers, and become self-sufficient. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to shine.
